Sample 4-Week Meal Plan
From our friends at Our Paleo Life, this is just a SAMPLE 4-week meal plan; it’s not REQUIRED reading, or required eating.
Our Paleo Life is a group that put together a 4-week game plan for a Whole-30 specific dietary track. Some of you will love how they lay out these resources; some of you will kind of hate it, since the meal plan and the recipes are located in different places. It’s a preference thing, but we want to provide you with different resources so you can choose the ones that work best for you.
The 4-Week Meal Plan above is AWESOME, but it lacks one thing: the recipes aren’t included in it. Click HERE and scroll down the page just a little bit to see the SAME meal plan (Week 1, then Week 2, then Week 3, etc) with the recipes included as CLICKABLE links, AND other weekly preparatory tips! Now we’re getting somewhere! 😉
ONE cautionary note: some recipes include vanilla, which is technically off-plan, but where the vanilla shows up it’s flagged as something not to include if you’re strictly Whole30 with no added sweets.
Recipes, Whole 30 Track
Here are HUNDREDS of recipes, BEYOND the guidebook we already sent. Use these to find MORE ideas for foods that EXCITE you, foods that you’d LIKE to eat in the next several weeks (if not longer!).
Recipes vary from the simple to the sophisticated.

Recipes from Primally Inspired
Collection of W30 recipes by Plaid & Paleo (includes recipes from many different sources)
Mel Joulwan’s Paleo Recipes (many from Well Fed & Well Fed 2- two great recipe books I recommend)
13 more W30 recipes by Suburban Kitchen
PaleOMG’s football-snack collection
Other great sources:
In your cell phone app store: The Nom Nom Paleo App is $6 and has a wealth of very appetizing recipes that are generally on plan (but be sure to read the ingredients first!)
PaleoNick: http://www.paleonick.com Paleo Nick is the CrossFit “Culinary Ninja” Chef and has a website full of useful information and recipes (NOTE: screen these before making; not all are W30-compliant.
Finally….
You’ll get recipes from your teammates in this challenge! One of the cool things we always do is share recipes for amazing foods that we’ve prepared and enjoyed ourselves. We also post photos of the foods we’ve made so you can actually see what it looks like when real people (not just professional chefs) prepare W30 meals!
Dining Out but ON plan!
Some local eateries that make it possible to eat in a Whole30-friendly fashion…
Cleveland Heath (you can request that their chef makes something Whole30 friendly; they know the rules)
Texas Roadhouse
Crazy Bowls & Wraps (CBW)
54th-Street Grill
Andria’s Steakhouse
Here are the allergen menus for several popular restaurants relevant to our area (Saint Louis Missouri Metro East)… click the name to see their allergen menus.
Cleveland Heath actually doesn’t have an online allergen menu, but they’re one of the most Whole30-friendly places around; you can arrive, tell them you want a Whole30 meal made custom, and their chef will make it happen. They know the rules. Tip your servers well and send a note to the kitchen to thank your chef!
Crazy Bowls & Wraps
Texas Roadhouse: A gluten-free menu is the best thing we could find for them online; but you can give specific guidance to their servers on-site and get an on-plan meal, no problem. Here’s the Nutrition Facts for the Roadhouse, which are comprehensive.
Applebees
Longhorn Steakhouse
Qdoba
Chipotle
54th Street Grill
1818 Chophouse: Can’t find one for 1818 Chophouse. You’ll have to ask their wait staff for guidance, but it’s gonna be iffy.
Andria’s Steakhouse: They ALMOST told us what we needed to know…
Red Robin
Buffalo Wild Wings
Fazolis
Olive Garden
Hardee’s (just for fun)

I’ve personally used this guide for multiple trips with great success. While it’s specifically written to Whole30-ers, I think it’s got useful ideas for anyone traveling and eating ANY diet.
Fresh Planet Flavor has a real-talk guide travel here too.
A few extra travel-snack and “food-carry hacking” ideas can be found here.
